The Nation's Weather for Saturday, September 14, 2019

A broken line of showers and thunderstorms will stretch from

the southern Appalachians to northern New England tomorrow.

The storms may not reach the Northeast's Interstate 95

corridor until the evening and overnight hours. Downpours

will be enhanced across the Florida Peninsula as a tropical

disturbance approaches from the northern Bahamas. A few

storms will dot the remainder of the southern Atlantic

Seaboard. Meanwhile, dry, hot weather is forecast to

dominate the rest of the South. While a few heavy storms may

ignite from Wisconsin to Iowa, most of the North Central

states will be dry. Most of the West will be dry with heat

persisting in California's interior. Storms will be confined

to southern Arizona and New Mexico, with a few showers

dampening western Washington.
