Parts of southern Fairfield County could see localized minor flooding Saturday night, according to a hazard message from the National Weather Service.

The alert said southern Fairfield County in Connecticut and southern Westchester County in New York could see flooding between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The weather service warned of “localized minor coastal flooding with up to one-half foot of inundation above ground level.”

Residents in the affected areas can expect brief minor flooding near the waterfront and shoreline.
