First heavy rain and strong winds and now ... a frost advisory for most of Connecticut.

The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures will fall into the 30s in interior Connecticut. The advisory is in effect from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

Although the state had some scattered frost about two weeks ago, this is the first widespread frost across the state.

Warmed by the waters of Long Island Sound, no frost is expected along the shoreline.
