UConn women land commitment from 2020 prospect Piath Gabriel
Piath Gabriel, a 6-foot-5 forward out of Bradford Christian Academy in New Hampshire, announced her commitment to UConn Thursday morning.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped create me into the athlete I am today,” Gabriel wrote on Twitter. “Before all else, I want to thank God and my family for all their love and support. Thank you to TJ Thompson for guiding me through the whole recruiting process and pushing me to be the greatest version of myself. … With all that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Connecticut.”
Gabriel, who’s rated by ESPN as a three-star prospect, is the Huskies’ fourth commit in the Class of 2020, following No. 1 overall recruit Paige Bueckers, Mir McLean and Nika Muhl.
