A pair of Shepaug Valley High School seniors have been accorded numerous honors for their respective Spartan soccer performances this fall.

Jenni Isaac and Eddie Kelly led their Region 12 teammates to winning records.

Coach Jim Stinson's Spartan boys were 9-8-1 while coach Tara Flaherty's Shepaug girls were 8-7-1.

Jenni Isaac scored 13 goals and assisted 16 others in spite of extra attention by rival defenses.

For her talents and leadership, she was selected as a Berkshire League all-star and to the state class `S' all-state team.

Jenni also played Dec. 3 in the prestigious Connecticut Senior Bowl game in Berlin and participates both in the state Olympic Development program and for the Connecticut Football Club U-18 United side.

She has verbally committed to attend and play soccer in September at Davidson College in North Carolina.

Eddie Kelly was the key player for coach Stinson's Spartan boys as they played their way to the state class `S' tournament's second round.

For his efforts this autumn, he earned Berkshire League all-star status and was chosen both state class `S' all-state and all-New England.

The latter honor was the first such for a Spartan soccer player in a quarter-century.
