Coach: Al Ciarlo, 14th season

2012 record: 13-3 in the Berkshire League, 17-6 overall.

2013 captains: Mia Landegren, Josh Thermer and Spencer Ylagan.

Coach's outlook: We return senior Mia Landegren, who won the women's State Amateur last summer. Mia will be attending the University of Alabama next school year on a full scholarship. Senior Spencer Ylagan hopes to replace our number two man from last year, Erik Meglio. Vying for the number three and four spots will be Griffin Ylagan and Robert McCarthy, both sophomores who gained valuable experience last year playing in every match. Fighting for the wide open number five spot will be senior Josh Thermer, sophomore Andrew Loya and freshman Jack Mullen. We will be attempting to continue our success from last year by finishing in the top three in the Berkshire League and qualifying for states again. Our younger guys, Griffin Ylagan and Robert McCarthy, are going to really have to step up their game for us, especially in some matches where we won't have Mia available. We need to have a true number two man come through for us. Also, the score from whoever earns the number five spot will be pivotal to our level of success. Lewis Mills will again be the team to beat. There is a big dropoff to Nonnewaug, Thomaston/Wamogo, Northwestern and Shepaug, who will battle for second."

"I would just like to say that we are all proud of having someone like Mia on our team. Even though she has other commitments, such as playing with the Swedish national junior team and frequently visits Florida to work with her swing coach, she still continues to be the main cog of the Shepaug golf team. She wants to represent her school at all cost if she can."

Seniors: Mia Landegren, Josh Thermer and Spencer Ylagan.
