Sherman Park & Recreation notes
The Sherman Park & Recreation Department offers programs throughout the year.
Call to director John Wrenn at 860-354-3629 will be returned Thursdays. Office hours at Sherman School are Saturdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. For registration or more information, check www.townofshermanct.org/parkrec.html.
Registration for all summer youth programs are offered Saturdays in the Sherman School cafeteria from 9 a.m. to noon through June 25. Signup will then be offered Mondays through Fridays during July.
Michele Close will direct youths aged 4-7, meeting Mondays to Fridays from 9 to 11:45 a.m. from June 25 to Aug. 2 at Sherman School.
Rich Sheridan will direct youths aged 7--12, meeting Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. from June 25 to Aug. 2 at Sherman Town Park. Early dropoff and extended hours are available for an extra fee.
Half-hour per day lessons based on Red Cross guidelines from Level 1--6 will be offered during three two-week sessions starting June 25 and ending Aug. 2.
The New Milford High School baseball coaching staff will direct an Aug. 6-10 camp meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Veterans Field. Boys and girls aged 8--15 are eligible at the cost of $100.
Rich Sheridan, longtime New Milford High School coach, assisted by current Green Wave players, will direct boys and girls aged 8--15 Aug. 13-17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Veterans Field. Cost will be $100.
