MVP-SOS to host benefit auction, dinner
Tickets are still available for MVP SOS' 11th annual dinner and silent auction.
The benefit event will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Portuguese Cultural Center along Sandpit Road in Danbury.
MVP SOS, Motivational Volunteers Promoting the Spirit Of Sports (& Activities), a 501(c)3, was created to ensure a solid foundation for the future educational and personal success of our youth by keeping them involved in athletics and educational activities in our schools and our community, regardless of their financial status.
Since 2004, MVP SOS has raised more than $300,000 and awarded more than $250,000 to New Milford residents in need.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with the silent auction, wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and socializing, with food to be provided by Omaha Beef and The Cookhouse.
Dinner will be followed by the fourth annual Jay Lowe Award presentation. A live auction and music and dancing will cap the evening.
Tickets are $85.
Sponsor tables of ten are $800 and a limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available. Tickets and further information may be obtained by calling the office of Dumas and Company at 860-355-2223.
Proceeds benefit the MVP SOS general fund.
MVP SOS welcomes donations in the form of merchandise, gift cards or certificates from local businesses for both the silent and live auctions.
