Kent firefighters to host golf at Bull's Bridge

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department will host its 10th annual benefit golf tournament Bull's Bridge Golf Club Sept. 16.

The 18-hole event will be a shamble format.

Entry fee of $250 per player will cover registration, cart and greens fee, on-course snacks and refreshment and a three-course dinner.

Prizes will be awarded for first and second place net and gross, as well as longest drive, closest to the pin and for a hole in one.

Four players will be chosen for an end of match $50,000 shootout competition. Prizes will be presented during the banquet at the Fife'n Drum Restaurant in Kent.

"We are thrilled to be able to continue this event with Bull's Bridge Golf Club," said Kent fire Chief Alan Gawel. "Last year's tournament was fantastic and registration filled quickly."

Proceeds will benefit the Kent Volunteer Fire Department firefighters and emergency medical personnel's operating expenses and fund education, training and equipment.
