The New Milford High football team heads to Waterbury Thursday, Oct. 16 seeking its first three-game win streak in recent seasons.

Coach Larry Badaracco's Green Wave is set to challenge Kennedy High at 7 p.m. in the Brass City.

The first-year grid mentor and his charges have bounced back from early-season defeats to Newtown, Masuk and Stratford to score back-to-back one-sided victories.

The Green Wave used a big-play defense to rip visiting Pomperaug 46-2 on Oct. 2 at NMHS. Blocked punts by Patrick Tannone and Denzel Phillips resulted in touchdowns and Alex Pitser recovered a Panther fumble for another six-pointer.

The New Milford offense featured a pair of touchdowns by Michael Carozza and touchdown receptions by Jake Plancon and Jackson Olson.

Last Friday, the Green Wave echoed its success vs. Pomperaug by outclassing host Notre Dame 53-10 in Fairfield.

The next home game for coach Badaracco and Co. will be Friday, Oct. 24 vs. Bunnell of Stratford.
