The quest for a berth in the South-West Conference team playoffs fell shy this spring.

Yet the New Milford High School boys' team can look back with pride on a strong 2013 court campaign.

Coach Tom Cronin's Green Wave racquet crew posted a 12-4 record, including a 7-4 ledger in the Colonial Division.

That effort left them one match from qualifying for the four-team SWC playoffs. Last year's squad lost a tiebreaker for the final spot in the post-season competition.

The Green Wave lost a 7-0 decision to eventual SWC champion Weston back on April 10 but had since suffered only 4-3 setbacks to Newtown, Pomperaug and New Fairfield.

Overall, for all singles and doubles matches played this sporing, the NMHS boys posted a 77-35 record.

Bidding farewell after completing their seasons are Ryan Kauer, Matt DePalma, Dan Winter, Dan Buser and Andrew Pivetz.
