Golfer's marathon to benefit hospice care

"I plan on arriving at LWCC at 4:30 am," explained Mike Retter, "and, as soon as I see the flag on the 1st hole, I'm teeing off."
"I do not plan on stopping until the sun goes down," he added.
Friends, family and club members have been donating money either in flat donations or specified denominations per hole completed.
"For instance, many members are paying $1 per hole, some more than that," Mr. Retter said. "My goal is anything above 175 holes."
The single-figure handicap golfer will use a cart, holing out and keeping score for each hole.
"My cart will be full of food, drinks, balls and Advil," he quipped.
