The eighth annual Shepaug Valley High School defensive driving benefit scramble golf tournament will be held May 13 with a 1 p.m. tee time at Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent.

The event will be directed by Shepaug student Mia Landegren as her senior project.

Cost for entry will be $175 per player.

Proceeds will benefit the Shepaug Class of 2013's defensive driving course at the Skip Barber Driving School in Lakeville.

The golf competition will feature awards for team low gross and low net, as well as men's and women's longest drive and closest to the pin.

Checks payable to the Shepaug Fund for $700 for a foursome or a $350 deposit, and entry forms, may be mailed to Shepaug Valley Hgh School, c/0 Mia Landegren, 159 South St., Washington, CT 06793.

Prizes and donations are welcome,and sponsorship donations are also available for $100.
