Familes are welcome to participate Oct. 31 in the seventh annual Halloween Trunk or Treat in the Bridgewater village center.

The event kicks off with a ziti dinner at the Bridgewater Congregational Church from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and continues with treats from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

A goodwill donation is encouraged at the ziti dinner; the treats are free to all participants.

In addition to the local businesses and organizations handing out candy, individuals are invited to participate in the fun by decorating their cars and handing out treats from their trunks.

Preregistration of vehicles is required via a form available at town hall or online. Parking for "trunks" is available at the Village Store, the Congregational Church, and Town Hall on a first-come, first-served basis. Trunks may begin setting up at 4 p.m. and must remain parked until the event concludes at 7:30 p.m. A trophy will be awarded for the "Best Decorated Trunk."

Candy donations are appreciated, and may be dropped off at Town Hall.
