A baseball clinic for prospective pitchers and catchers aged 10-14 will be offered Thursday, Dec. 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at Shepaug Valley High School in Washington.

The program will be hosted by Brian Hungerford as part of his Shepaug senior project.

Snow date would be Friday, Dec. 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Among the instructors will be Oakland Athletics pitcher Evan Scribner, a graduate of Shepaug Valley High School.

Other volunteers will include several Division I and III college baseball players.

Cost will be $15 per player.

Proceeds will benefit Conservation International, a non-profit organization to help protect endangered species in the Galapagos Islands.
