The 38th annual Kent Pumpkin Run will be presented Oct. 26 by the Kent Chamber of Commerce.

The five-mile race will kick off at noon, following the Kent Kids' Fun Run at 11 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to run in costume to celebrate the approach of Halloween. There will be prizes awarded for top costumes, as well as the top runners.

For the second year, the chamber is working with Kent Center School's Kids' Marathon program to encourage children to run and walk for fun and health.

Signup and information is available at Early bird main race registration is $23. Children may register for free until Oct. 16.

Center School graduate and Family Guy originator Seth MacFarlane is loaning his design team to the chamber to create this year's performance running shirt, which will be available to the first 500 race registrants.

The first 100 will receive complimentary T-shirts.
