Renowned Yoga-wear company Lululemon has teamed up with high-end outdoors brand Huckberry to launch a collaborative line. Confused? Us too.
Huckberry's brand leans heavily on the rustic and outdoorsy, while Lululemon is more cutesie and infinitely more at home on a yoga mat that on the mountainside. According to Huckberry’s consistently charming marketing copy, they’ve started working with Lululemon because, “the innovators up there in Vancouver, CA are absolute fabric wizards—delivering perfectly dialed fits and scientifically engineered materials that would make Iron Man’s suit blush.” The flagship item from this line appears to be the Huckberry Navigation Down Jacket, which sells for $248 and is already sold out in every size except small and medium.
Designed to be water-resistant and filled with Down Standard-certified goose down, this jacket also uses Lululemon’s “ThermoChannel construction” to hold the feathers in place, making it a true collaborative effort. They’ve also collaborated on a More Miles Active Backpack ($128), which is also water resistant.
The other items for sale seem more in line with Lululemon’s normal products and include a reversible yoga mat, some jogger pants, a hoodie, and a vent tech T-shirt.
For Lululemon devotees (and boy-oh-boy are these fans devoted) this is a great chance to explore some clothes to use outside of the yoga studio. And for Huckberry fans, this stuff promises a different, more comfortable approach to their most famous jacket.
