Sarah Noble students to start walking project
Sarah Noble Intermediate School in New Milford will kick off its fifth annual Walking Project Wednesday.
Fifth-grade classes will partner with a local business and will be challenged to increase their daily exercise over a month-long period.
A pedometer will measure the number of steps the students take throughout their day. The number will be recorded in a classroom log.
Throughout the project, prizes will be awarded to classrooms that meet specific achievements.
The goal of this business/school partnership is to mentor students toward a lifelong love of walking.
