The New Milford High School marching band and color guard will host their annual USBands home competition Saturday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The event will take place at New Milford High School on Danbury Road (Route 7 South).
A highlight will be an exhibition performance by the Boston University marching band.
USBands is a competitive circuit for scholastic band programs nationwide that provides performance venues and adjudication to thousands of students each year.
More than 700 high schools will participate in USBands events this fall.
The home competition will feature performances from the award-winning NMHS band and color guard, as well as many other regional schools.
Students will perform music and pageantry for the judged competition.
A variety of refreshments will be sold, including pulled-pork sandwiches, sausage and pepper grinders, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, cotton candy and more.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
