NMHS to host band, color guard competition

The New Milford High School marching band and color guard will present their annual USBands home competition Sept. 27 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The event will take place at New Milford High School on Danbury Road (Route 7 South).
USBands is a competitive circuit for scholastic band programs nationwide. More than 700 high schools will participate in USBands events this fall.
The home competition will feature performances from the award-winning NMHS band and color guard, as well as regional schools.
Students will perform music and pageantry for the judged competition.
A variety of refreshments will be sold, including pulled-pork sandwiches, sausage-and-pepper grinders, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza and cotton candy.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
