The Gunnery, a private school in Washington, recently received a visit from Kung Fu performers from the Shaolin Temple region in China.
The artists demonstrated moves and agility with and without weapons, drove needles through glass, broke metal rods against their foreheads, balanced on the tips of spears and broke boards with their hands and feet.
The Henan University and the Henan Normal University played ancient Chinese classical music with foreign instruments.
Students and various members of the faculty were brought on stage to be taught some of the simple moves.
