The Board of Directors of the Kent Center School Scholarship Fund has announced the establishment of the Robert G. Pratt Award.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a college or graduate student in the field of English, journalism or a related field.

The scholarship is the first to honor a former employee of Kent Center School.

Bob Pratt taught English at Kent Center School for 22 years, before retiring to Salisbury, Md., in 1990, where he passed away on June 28, 2009.

Donations to the scholarship may be made payable to KCSSF, with a memo that it isfor the Pratt award, and mailed to KCSSF, P.O. Box 794, Kent, CT 06757.
