A sub-committee for the Kent Board of Education has announced it has been working on creating an enrichment program in town.
The year-long effort resulted in a trial offering of an environmental club and a Spanish club to lower school students this past spring.
Both programs were well attended and enjoyed by students and the instructors.
Now the committee is looking to create a permanent after school enrichment program.
There will be an informational meeting during the first week of school.
The committee is looking for people interested in being a member of the Board of Directors, joining the Program and Resources Committee, volunteering to run an enrichment club or are curious about having a child participate.
