Canterbury graduates 15 area students
One hundred and thirteen students, 15 of whom hail from the Greater New Milford area, graduated May 22 from Canterbury School in New Milford.
The private school conducted its 98th commencement exercises. The graduation started with an academic procession to the chapel, followed by a celebration of the Eucharist.
John P. Heffernan, Class of 1958, was the graduation speaker.
Marlene Berke, of New Milford, presented the valedictory address.

Tristan Kane, of New Milford: School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Giuiseppe "Joe" Leto '97 Wrestling Award, Best Sportsmanship Award and the Canterbury Art Legacy Award.
Ted Sheehy, of New Milford: Washington University in St. Louis. Member of the Canterbury Honor Society.
Lucinda Sowerby, of New Milford: Dickinson College. Member of the Canterbury Honor Society, the Edward F. Mack Award for Outstanding Contributions to The Carillon (arts and literary magazine) and the Francis T. Carmody '25 Prize Award for Creative Talent in Poetry.
