WESTON — A crash closed a stretch of Georgetown Road to vehicular traffic for several hours Thursday night.

The Weston Fire Department said Georgetown Road — Route 57 — was closed between White Oak Lane and Calvin Road because of a collision.

Fire officials said the crash happened in the area of 379 Georgetown Road shortly after 5 p.m.

There were no further details immediately provided, including the extent of injuries, if any. The state Department of Transportation indicated it was a one-vehicle crash.

By 9:50 p.m., the road had reopened to traffic.
