Police: Route 25 in Brookfield reopens after crash
BROOKFIELD — A crash with serious injuries was reported on Whisconier Road in Brookfield Friday night, according to initial dispatch reports.
Initial dispatch reports indicated the crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. near 194 Whisconier Road and involved a motorcycle. It was unclear if other vehicles were involved.
Police confirmed it happened on Whisconier Road — Route 25.
Route 25 is closed between Long Meadow Hill Road and Oak Grove Road, according to police.
“This closure is likely to be in place for an extended period of time while our accident team investigates the crash,” police said.
The operator of the motorcycle was reported to be seriously injured and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.
At 8:45 p.m., police said the road had reopened to vehicles.
