DANBURY — Police are investigating a stabbing on James Street earlier this month that left one man injured.

A “large fight and possible stabbing” was reported in the area of 53 James Street around 4 p.m. May 17, according to dispatch reports.

First responders found a man with multiple stab wounds at the scene, and he was transported to Danbury Hospital.

Police said there was “an altercation between multiple parties that night,” but did not provide many details due to the ongoing investigation.

“I can tell you that one person was taken to Danbury Hospital for minor, non-life-threatening injuries,” Lt. Andrew Corrado said.

No arrests have been made, but there are “persons of interest,” he said.
