DANBURY — The pre-trial hearing of the city man accused of fatally shooting his friend while high on crack-cocaine last year is scheduled to resume Sept. 28.

David Ramos, 34, is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of 33-year-old Jason Hoffman.

Ramos is accused of accidentally shooting Hoffman the morning of Sept. 4, in the condo Ramos shared with his mother in the Sterling Woods condominium complex.

In addition to manslaughter, Ramos is facing possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia, failure to keep narcotics in original container and resisting arrest charges.

Ramos has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He remains in custody at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on $250,000 bond.
