To the Editor:

On behalf of the Washington Republican Town Committee and the successful candidates in the recent election, I would like to thank the voters of Washington who made sure their voices were heard.

The voter turnout was approximately 54 percent, which is very impressive in an election where the selectmen, town clerk and tax collector had no opposition.

The overwhelming support of the Republican-endorsed team indicates we are going in the right direction.

We will continue on this path.

Those elected are aware of the responsibility they have to continue on a course of fiscal responsibility, transparency in government and the spirit of "our town first."

Now that the campaign is over, it is time to put partisanship behind and work for what is best for the people of the great town of Washington.

Thank you.

Joan M. Lodsin

Chairman
