Thanks offered for POW/MIA dance

To the Editor:

Prisoner of War/Missing in Action, CT Forget-Me-Nots held our annual benefit dance in November at the VFW Post 1672 in New Milford.

Everyone had a great time listening and dancing to the outstanding classic rock of Flashback's Eric Lundgren, Rick Planz, Roger Malumphy, Roger Cannavaro, Mike Gaudenzi, Lou Manoni and Dave Pitchard, who have given so generously of their time and talent to our cause.

We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to hold our annual dance at VFW Post 1672. Thank you to the members of the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary for the generous support and concern for our POW/MIAs.

Area merchants donated hors d'oeuvres, platters and snacks for all to enjoy during the evening. Thank you to The Pantry, Northville Market, Stew Leonard and Stop & Shop for the delicious food.

We received outstanding raffle prizes from area merchants during these difficult economic times. Thank you to the following merchants for their overwhelming generosity and support:

Natural Marketplace, Adrienne, Bank Street Book Nook, Sugar Hoot, Fat City Screen Printing & Sportstitch, Dolly's Wine Boutique, The White Horse Pub, Candlewood Tool & Machine Shop Inc., Dean & Daughter Sporting Goods.
