NMHS coach thanks community

To the Editor:

The New Milford High School baseball team would like to thank many people in the community who so graciously helped make our pasta dinner fundraiser a resounding success this year.

The baseball team had just finished a very successful season with a record of 16-8m which included our trip in many years to the state tournament quarterfinals and also a fantastic trip to Disney World where we played three games.

Without so many volunteers and community donations, this would not have been possible.

We would like to thank Stop & Shop, Walmart, Big Y in Bethel, Costco, Pepsi, Sherman IGA, John's Best, Alfredo's, Milano's, DeItalia, Tonelli's, 3 Brothers, Entenmann's, Kimberly Clark, McDonald's and the New Milford public schools' food service for all their help and donations of goods, money or time.

We would also like to thank all the parent volunteers who put in many hours both in preparation and on the actual day of the dinner. Without these wonderful people, we would not have been able to pull off such a quality fundraiser.

It is great to see such a wonderful community effort come together to help our players have some great experiences they will remember for the rest of their lives.
