'Holiday on the Hill' proves success in Warren

To the Editor:

We would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the many people who pitched in to help make Warren's first annual Holiday on the Hill such a success.

The night was topped with a beautiful snowfall that truly put everyone in the holiday mood.

Thanks to the Warren Volunteer Fire Company and the Warren Public Library, as well as Warren's First Congregational Church for opening their doors to the townspeople and for providing goodies for them to take home.

Thank you to Art and Donna Downs for providing and driving their tractor, and to Luke Tanner for his wagon and hay. The rides were an exciting addition to the evening.

Thank you to Woody Rahm for once again sharing his "jolly" soul with us, and to Jenna Downs, Renee Fleet, Kirsten Hetzel and Megan McElhone for being the best elves a small town has ever seen.

A big thank you to Jim Schultz for lending his expertise in illuminating our tree.

It is only with the cooperation and the enthusiasm on the part of all these people, and those who may have been forgotten from this list, who make a small-town event such as this one such a success.

We'll see you next year.
