To the Editor:

To all of you and your families who enjoy the July fireworks in New Milford, we need your dollars.

Some of you even plan parties around the fireworks. We need you.

We realize that the economy effects everyone. We need your help now.

So, townspeople, corporations, businesses and companies, it's time to step up to the plate and send in a donation.

Do you come downtown and enjoy the bands performing on the bandstand?

Do you anticipate the thrill of hearing, feeling and seeing the fireworks display?

Don't sit back and see if someone else sends in a donation, mail us your donation.

There are businesses and people of the Village Center Organization who work very hard to organize this production for the people of New Milford.

We will be placing donation cans around town for your change soon but what we'd really like is your tax deductible check.

Our volunteer firefighters support us with hours on site and our police and fire police work hard to control traffic and keep us safe when thousands gather in our village center.

The newspapers support us with articles. The town allows us to use town property to stage the fireworks display.

We collect the funds and just blow them up in the sky for your enjoyment.

No one makes any money on this. It's just for everyone to enjoy.

Now is the time to send in a tax deductible check made out to New Milford Charitable Fund Inc. and send it to VCO, Box 2105, New Milford, CT 06776, a non-profit corporation.

We are moving forward on this big undertaking of keeping the much loved New Milford Fourth of July fireworks.

We've had seven spectacular years so far. We need your help to continue.

Sky bursts of thanks.
