Community support helps the Garten family
To the Editor:
On behalf of the Garten family, we would like to thank all who attended and donated to the second annual Mild to Wild Truck and Auto Show.
The event was a huge success that was made possible because of the spirit, graciousness and devotion of many.
We are especially thankful to the people who put in many hours in preparation and the hours put in the day of the event: Pat and Valerie Summa, Kevin Hewins, Don Clady, Dave and Tania Mitchell and all volunteers who worked to make the event a success.
We also appreciate those who donated and sponsored: Thrasher Motorsports, S & D Transport, Images Unlimited, Hobbytown, Kaiser Truck, Levine's, Lime Rock Park, 3 Brothers Diner, Merryall Market, Mark Ford, New Century Trucks and Best Sanitation.
A thank you to New Milford High School for the use of the facility, and for being so accommodating to all who attended.
It has been another long year with Andrew. We still have no diagnosis for what happened to him. He remains strong, active, and happy, especially when he is with his family and friends. He amazes us each day with his ability to progress.
Our family still is facing the prospect of many hospitalizations. Although these past two years have been tough, we still find the strength and courage to go on.
Having the support of family, friends and the people in this community make it all possible. We can't thank you enough.
