To the Editor:

We would like to thank the community for another successful Bike Day on June 5.

We refurbished donated bikes and turned them over to a very appreciative group of teens and kids.

This day could not be possible without so many generous people but, most importantly, John Gallagher and his assistant, John Lynch, of New Milford Bike Express, who personally tuned up and repaired every bike.

Thanks to the generosity of the Rotary Club of Greater New Milford, which made it possible to give brand new helmets to those who needed them.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers: Gene Marino, Judy and Al Burroughs, Steve Coons, Helen McBride and Betty Anne Byron, who helped with bike repairs, registration, helmets and so much more.

Our student volunteers were hands-on, helping the children find the right bike as well as with planning and prep, set up and clean up.

These students include Kaylee Morrissey, Moe Uddin, Brad Ness, Dylan Mcilveen, Sean Fugardi, Hannah Albright, Rachel Seigel, Jacob and Cody Scott, Jarred and Caleigh White, Lauren Hennessey, Jeanette Byron and Curtis Speede.

We would also like to thank New Milford Walmart and the New Milford Recycling Center.

Thank you.
