An expected 20 athletes from the NMWA will compete for the New Milford High School team.

Iinterested boys and girls, regardless of experience, may join the elementary program for grades k-5 or the middle-school program for grades 6-8.

The programs focus on wrestling fundamentals and introduces youths to one-on-one competition.

Practices will meet Mondays through Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sarah Noble School. Matches against neighboring towns will also be scheduled those days.

Registration will be offered Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sarah Noble multi-purpose room.

A non-refundable fee is of $150 will be asked for New Milford and Sherman residents and $175 for youths from other towns. A 10 percent family discount will be available.

The fee should be made payable to the New Milford Wrestling Association (NMWA).

The first practice will be Oct. 29.
