A family skate is hosted Sundays from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Gunnery's Linen Rink by Northwester Hockey, Washington Parks & Recreation and The Gunnery.

Sessions will meet weekly through March 7 at the cost of $5 per person per session, $60 per person for the season or $140 per family for the season. Gunnery School families enrolled in Northwestern programs will be admitted free.

Helmets are recommended for all participants.

Refreshments and snacks are available with proceeds benefiting the Washington Primary School PTO.

Proceeds of the family skate help support the Bunker Burr Scholarship Fund providing tuition and equipment purchase assistance to children and families wishing to ice skate or play ice hockey.

The scholarship is given in honor of Bunker Burr, who co-founded the Washington-Gunnery Hockey and Skating Association, along with Jim Goodale, in 1973, and was a 1939 graduate of The Gunnery School.
