New Milford Public Library will offer a variety of youth programs in the coming weeks.

Students in grades six through 12 are invited to join the Young Adult Council, a monthly advisory group.

Activities include planning programs and events, and recommending books, DVDs and music for the library.

Participants can earn community service hours and write reviews for the blog.

Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

A Minecraft Club for students in grades seven through 12 is held the second Monday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m.

Registration is required.

Students in grades five through 12 are sought to submit writing and/or artwork to be including in the library’s teen literary magazine, “The Aura.”

The magazine is published three times a year.

Submissions should be emailed to vfisher@biblio.org.

The library is seeking students in grades five through 12 to pair up and become Book Buddies.

The pair will meet one half-hour per week.

Registration is required.

The library’s creative writing club for students in grades five through 12 meets the first and fourth Wednesday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m.

The club will next meet Oct. 28.

Students of all grades are invited to the library’s Chess group, which meets the second Tuesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m.

Registration is not required.

Students in grades six through 12 are invited to join the Dungeons and Dragons Club, which meets the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m.

A Teen Café is offered the third Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for students in grades six through 12.
