Linda Wrenn, of New Milford, is seeking prospective singers and members of the community to help her form a Hearts in Harmony Jr.

Wrenn organized a Hearts in Harmony for Haiti concert six years ago in town following the Haitian earthquake.

She is looking to use her experiences as a teacher in both private and public schools and her music ministry to form a choir of children in grades three to eight from the greater Danbury area who will be ambassadors of love through their actions and music.

Wrenn said the goal is “not necessarily to become a premier performing group, but rather one who will sing a song or two at private and/or public events in the Danbury area to leave a positive impression on those in attendance.”

HHJR will meet at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.

Rehearsals will not only include learning songs with messages of love, kindness and compassion, but will include activities that will help the children be more aware of the way they treat others, especially those that many ignore or choose to judge unfairly, Wrenn explained.

Interested individuals, singers, volunteers and sponsors, and organizations who would like HHJR to perform at an event should email
