The Woman’s Club of Greater New Milford will hold its inaugural donation drive March 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The drive will take place at Harrybrooke Park’s outer parking lot, off Still River Drive.

The drive’s goal is to raise $1,000 in funds to support the WCGNM’s fundraising efforts toward scholarships and community events.

Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, books and small household items.

Furniture will not be accepted.

All goods collected through the drive will be sold to Savers, the parent company to thrift stores like Value Village, Unique and Savers.

They will be reimbursing the club by the pound for every qualifying donation received. In turn, these items help keep their floors freshly stocked.

Tickets to the club’s March 13 fashion show fundraiser will be available to purchase at the drive.

Anyone who donates at least one large bag of clothing and plans to attend the fashion show will receive a raffle ticket for a grand prize giveaway.
