Woman flips Jeep, charged with DUI
DANBURY - A 33-year-old city woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol early Friday after she allegedly stole a Jeep and rolled it over minutes later on West Wooster Street.
Police said Teischa Pileggi of Robinson Avenue was also charged with first-degree larceny, reckless operation, suspended license and failure to drive right.
Police said the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen at 7:10 a.m. -- eight minutes it crashed.
The vehicle owner said she left it unlocked and idling on Town Hill Avenue just before it was stolen.
Police said there were no injuries reported, but the Jeep had damage to the right front end and roof.
Pileggi is being held on $75,000 and is due in court Monday.
