Wildlife-Line to hold 'baby shower'

The nonprofit organization Wildlife-Line in Sherman will host a baby shower and silent auction June 1 to help defray the costs of medical bills and supplies for the injured and orphaned animals in their care.

It will take place at the railroad station on Railroad Street in New Milford.

Donations sought include paper towels, Clorox wipes, laundry detergent, bleach, peroxide, bandages, latex-free gloves, peanuts, canned pumpkin, jarred baby food, wild bird food, Cheerios, puppy chow, lawn and leaf bags, green or brown tarps of all sizes and gift cards for the Feed Barn, Tractor Supply, Agway and Big Y.

Auction items will be displayed at the event and then on Facebook for bidding through June 10.
