The Julia's Wings Foundation, a nonprofit foundation based in Sherman, is committed to raising awareness of the Aplastic Anemia, a rare and serious bone marrow disease which affects 600-900 Americans each year.
The foundation will recognize Aplastic Anemia Awareness Week March 1-7.
Schools, businesses, organizations and others are invited to wear red.
The color can be incorporated via hockey/athletic tape, sport laces, armbands, ribbons on mailboxes, hair bands and more.
Participants are invited to post photographs of themselves wearing red on the Julia’s Wings Foundation Facebook page.
