Washington Art Association will hold a Souper Bowl Sunday event to celebrate homemade food and handmade pottery Oct. 14. Patrons may fill with soup a ceramic bowl crafted by potters in the region from noon to 3 p.m.; they will keep the bowl.

The menu at the Bryan Memorial Plaza gallery will feature fresh bread, apples and cider.

Other offerings will include a drawing workshop with Elizabeth Wolff, a demonstration of how to fold origami bats by Judith Russell, wheel-throwing demonstrations and diembe drum music by the Earls of West Cornwall.

Tickets are $25, with proceeds to benefit the WAA's ceramic department.
