Volunteers extend hand to help with park cleanup

Harrybrooke Park and Harden House Museum in New Milford recently hosted its annual fall cleanup project.

Friends, neighbors, groups and individuals showed up with a rake, a leaf blower and gloves and got to work.

“It’s awesome to see,” said Lee Colville, a member of Harrybrooke Park Board of Managers.

“People love this park and they put the work in to back that up,” Colville said. “We are always grateful for the turnout at this event.”

Roughly 40 volunteers from six different organizations, plus individuals, participated in the cleanup effort.

Among those who participated were the New Milford Bulls, the Lions Club, the Friends of Harrybrooke and YardApes.
