The Kent Garden Club will sponsor a Village cleanup April 24 in recognition of Earth Day.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Railroad Square behind Kent Memorial Library on Main Street at 9 a.m.

Charlotte Lindsey and Sabine Gibson, organizers of the event, remind garden club members to attend.

Participants will pick up litter along the village's sidewalks and green spaces.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and long pants. They will be given rubber gloves and litter bags.

Filled garbage bags will be collected at Railroad Square, sorted for recyclables and taken to the transfer station.
