Residents of the Greater New Milford area are invited to attend two open houses centered on the arts and science and engineering March 3.

The Village Center for the Arts and Robotics and Beyond, a New Milford-based nonprofit science and engineering education organization, will both hold open houses in downtown New Milford from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Village Center for the Arts' open house, at the 12 Main St. center, will feature hands-on activities, staff visits, music, demonstrations, games and class viewings.

Robotics & Beyond will hold its open house at the railroad station on Railroad Street.

Family activities will include hands-on exhibits, games for children in kindergarten through grade 12, contests and a drawing to win baskets filled with a variety of items.

Both organizations will offer patron incentives, including a drawing for a variety of items, such as gift certificates, a free assessment/evaluation for a child at The Learning Center and personal training sessions.

Donations for the drawing will be accepted through Feb. 25.

For the past eight years, Robotics and Beyond has offered a science and engineering summer camp in town.

This year's camp will be held July 9-13 and July 16-20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at New Milford High School

Full and partial week options are available.

The cost is $245.
