To the Editor:

My house's parking area is on South Street in Washington, just a half mile up from Route 47, and just a mile down the road from a Region 12 school.

Some member of the constabulary likes to park, or lurk there, usually in the late afternoon, a time when parents are making their way to and from the school to pick up their kids from extra curricular activities.

Just to help him out, I urge you harried parents to drive in a circumspect manner as you approach the brown-shingle house with the water tank on it.

He's not there every day but, when he is, you might honk or wave to ease his lonely vigil.
