The United Way of Western Connecticut recently distributed new back-to-school clothes and supplies to 327 children living in Bridgewater, Kent, New Milford, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren and Washington.

The majority of the boxes were handed out Aug. 16 at the Kimberly-Clark Conference Center.

The others were to be handed out this week.

Each child received two sets of fall/winter clothing (pants and shirts), one pair of sneakers, a winter coat, three pairs of socks, three sets of underwear, a backpack with school supplies and personal care items.
