On behalf of the New Milford Parks & Recreation Department, we would like to thank all of those involved with the 41st annual 8-mile and sixth annual Village Fair Days 5K road races. These events were held July 26 with 580 registered runners.

The tremendous support from our wonderful community, along with the hard-working staff at Parks & Recreation, is the reason we are able to continue to offer elite and recreational runners the opportunity to compete against their peers on New Milford's beautiful country roads.

We would like to warm up by thanking the hundreds of runners, many of whom have faithfully returned each year, for making the races this year the most successful to date.

We certainly admire your determination to conquer these challenging courses and are inspired by your successes. Your talent and love of running is what motivates us to continually strive to make this a safe and wonderful event for you to enjoy.

We would like to thank the entire staff at the Parks & Recreation Department, the parks maintenance staff, the Public Works Department, the New Milford Police Department and New Milford Ambulance for providing a well-organized and safe event.

Of course, the race would not be possible without the support of our many sponsors. We would like to thank our premier sponsors: Union Savings Bank, the medical and dental staff of New Milford Hospital and O & G Industries for their financial support.
